Made only in exceptional or vintage years. This wine has the same structure as Vintage, topped up with 10-25% red wine from the house vineyard at Bouzy.
Vintage Rose is deeply colored, with a complex, refined fragrance mingling red fruit wuth very noble developing notes. When tasted, it reveals great structure, and a remarkably long finish.
Veuve Clicquot was the first house to export a rose champagne to Switzerland in 1775.
Matchless know-how has made it a house speciality and Veuve Clicquot has been making rose champagnes in the great vintage years since the end of the eighteenth century.
The twentyeth century famous years for Vintage Rose were 1928, 1947, 1955, 1969, 1978, 1985, 1988, 1989, 1990, and 1995, 1996, 1998, 1999.
Vintage rose goes well with spicy fish dishes, tuna sashimi and fine meats. When mature, it is excellent with game birds. 750ml
