History
In October 1817, the future King Georges IV of Great Britain, a great connoisseur of cognac, ordered a “Very Superior Old Pale Cognac eau de vie ”from Hennessy. The letters V.S.O.P. thus appeared for the first time on the records of a cognac sent to Britain. These letters have since become the benchmark of the category and are today used by the entire profession.

Ageing
Aged up to 15 years, the cognacs are patiently brought to maturity in seasoned French oak casks that have given up their bolder tannins.
