Bright red. Raspberry and blackberry on the nose, accented by cinnamon, clove, mace and minerals. Energetic, juicy red and dark berry flavors are focused and pure, with fine, dusty tannins adding structure. Finishes on a lively red berry note, with very good length.

The 2004 Genium is composed of 60% Garnacha, 20% Carinena, and 20% Merlot aged for 6 months in 30% new French oak. Purple colored, it exhibits a complex nose of cedar, mineral, red currants, raspberry, and kirsch. Medium to full-bodied, and bordering on opulence, this layered wine has excellent intensity and balance. Drink it over the next 4-6 years.

This muscular youth proves that Priorat can deliver fleshy, modern wines. Or maybe it’s the 20% Merlot that’s softenening the Garnacha and Carignan. Either way, look for lush plum and black cherry flavors floating on a rich, heady palate. This is more Escalade or Range Rover than sports car.

Cooked raspberry with a hint of fig, allspice, and some dried herbs and grass notes. A powerful mouth with black and red cherry, plum, and notes of fig, earth, and barrel spice in the finish. Braised meats.

This burly red delivers ripe, smoky flavors of blackberry, boysenberry, earth and tobacco over muscular tannins. There's good concentration, but this is a bit rustic in style. Best after 2008.

Proudly displaying its ripeness, this massive blend of garnacha, cariñena and merlot feels sweet and caramelized with notes of blackberry marmalade and schist. For roast boar.
