Booker Noe, sixth-generation Beam and grandson of Jim Beam, joined the family business after graduating from the University of Kentucky in 1950. Booker proved to be a quick study, and in 1960, became the master distiller of Jim Beam Brands Co. This world-class distiller became a true American legend in 1988 when he introduced his special bourbon, appropriately named Booker's.
